Matlamat utama saya menulis adalah untuk berkongsi pengetahuan dalam bentuk pengurusan dan motivasi untuk pembangunan diri dan kerjaya.
Ingin juga mencurahkan pengetahuan yang ada secara ringkas, mudah dan pantas memandangkan sesetengah individu kurang berminat membaca bahan bacaan(buku) yang tebal dan merimaskan.
Sekadar menyumbangkan sesuatu untuk di manfaatkan sebelum nanti saya di jemput ke SANA.

Think Big

Salah satu cara untuk berjaya adalah dengan resipi "Think Big"
When you think big, you'll get big things done and for sure you can.
But if you think small , you'll get only small things done.

If you're a supervisor of a small section than you must think like you're managing a big company .
If you are a group leader than you must think that you're a C.E.O.
The action and results will be different.

When I was assigned as an acting supervisor in a training department many years ago, I had no choice than to use the above solutions. An acting supervisor with actual position as a clerk! Just imagine, a person like me at that point of time being a supervisor without any paper qualification, responsible to make sure my department is competitive as with other department.
It means, I will have to compete with other department heads who had higher qualification than me.

It's not a joke. Need to talk like them, need to produce like them, need to solve problems effectively like them, Need to show that I have something to attract those top people same like what they did in adjusting the spotlights to be focused on them, so what I did to ensure I can?

The answer is: THINK BIG.


Pada Pn Saniyah Kadir thank you for your specific examples and comments. Well many people does that and I've heard a lot too.Perhaps another common examples would be, Some people had never failed to critize either organization leaders or other nature of leaders but when they are given the opportunity to become a simple and small organization leaders, they are even worst! They are even dangerous! They are even slower! Either in work places or family institution. Thank you also for comments in Pelayaran. Masterji must do better and to help many more to identify that they are actually assets and not liability!

Wah dah beberapa entri tak sempat nk komen. Anyway...wlwpun x komen saya tetap membacanya. Mana boleh x baca blog Masterji sb setiap entri saya mempelajari sesuatu!!!

Talking about 'think big'...bagusnya kita akan rasa lebih tanggungjawab. Tapi ada segelintir yg pergi ke arah 'besar kepala' atau 'berlagak'.... ha..ha..itu yg negatif la.

'Sense of belonging' penting sb dgn faktor tu kita boleh 'think big'. Kombinasi kedua2 akan memberikan satu result yg cemerlang, gemilang & terbilang kepada diri sendiri & tempat kerja kita.

Masterji,

Apa yang ditulis sememangnya apa yang dilakukan. Saya ingin berkongsi pengalaman saya bersama Masterji dengan rakan-rakan pembaca.

Masa beliau menjalankan tugas sebagai acting supervisor di training department dulu saya masih ingat beliau akan pergi berjumpa HOD setiap dept, setiap sorang. Dalam kes saya, beliau akan explain training department activity plan, mengaitkan dgn polisi MD dan seterusnya mencadangkan subject-subject yang akan membantu department saya.

Penerangan yang jelas, objektif yang terang serta approach yang banyak kepada ingin membantu telah berjaya menawan hati HODs dan training plan beliau memang tak ada yang dibatalkan. Semuanya berjalan seperti yang diatur. Pada masa itu beliau belum lagi mempunyai apa-apa degree, cuma saya yakin beliau telah ada "tiang gol", matlamat yang beliau ingin capai. Bila kita tahu apa yang kita nak, maka kita akan dgn sendirinya mengambil tindakan yang kita pikir wajar.

Bagi beliau, demi untuk menjayakan training plan beliau, HOD mesti difahamkan dgn jelas. Kalau nak, email pun dah boleh, tetapi beliau risau yang kefahaman mungkin tak jelas. Jadi beliau sendiri turun padang (Gemba).

Tapi satulah perangai Masterji ni, dia tak akan terima "no" sebagai answer. Tak akan give selagi tak dapat. Dia kan follow up dgn kita sampai dapat. Kadang-kadang tu tengah break minuk kopi kejap nak release tension, muncul aje dia konon break jugak hisap rokok. Sambil tu dia selit lagi apa yang dia mintak tak dapat itu hari. Kita pun naik lemas, setujulah at last.
